Tel Aviv
Thursday after breakfast we took a bus and drove along the Mediterranian Sea to the ancient city of Jaffa where we went to the 250 year old house of Ilana Gook where she lives and has a museum of her sculptures and other works of Art. Outside we walked through the park and saw the archeological digs that were the foundatians of buildings 3,000 years old dating back to the Egyptians. We walked around the markets and had falafals for lunch. Then we went to the earliest section of Tel Aviv where the first Jewish houses were built. We went into one which has been restored and is lived in by Lea Mintz, the grandaughter of the original owner. We met 82 year old Lea who lives up on the top floor and saw her artwork- paintings and sculptures of women how she sees them in real life. Tonight we are going to a school for young orthodox men who will be talking to us about their school. We finally found our plug adapter in the flea market so we can recharge our cameras.
